Joesphine!

Cruising around Nordstroms I came across a pair of fabulous studded sandals. I tried them on and fell in love. The shoes are "Josephine" from the Jessica Simpson Collection. They are high heeled studded caged sandals. The caging is similar to the design from the Japanese finger trap that kids play with. I am a huge fan of her shoe line. Jessica designs affordable good quality shoes. They are always super cute and comfortable 4 inch heels!

The fashion obsession with studs will be in for a while and designers have become quite creative with them. A studded heel is a great and easy way to dress up a simple outfit! I put together a rockin look that coordinates well with Josephine. It is a bit Sex and the City inspired. Can't help it, I love Carrie's Style. Hope you like it!

Christian is a shoe god and all women worship him, including Fergie Ferg. She is also wearing a diamond collar necklace and cuffs. She is supporting SEXY and nobody does it better.

Shopping at Top Shop!

Hey, I absolutely love Top Shop. It is a fabulous British store that is slowly gaining a fan base in the United States. This store is loved by not just us, but celebrities like Kate Moss are Top Shop regulars. Being a Top Shop lover, I wanted to share with you one of my shopping favorites. This is the 1st of many "Shopping at.." features that I will be posting on the site weekly. Enjoy and don't forget to leave comments!

This look was inspired by Rihanna, Grace Jones, 1980's, and the heavy metal edge from this falls trends. This check sequin jacket is a must have for this fall. It is a great piece that can work for all occasions. I paired it with the "Zip Puff" mini skirt. The purple in the skirt brings personality and color into this outfit. I love this skirt because it is an instant "pop!" and makes this completely GLAM. This outfit would not be complete with out awesome boots. I don't really think of peep-toe boots as boots, but I absolutely love them, studs, and buckles! Last, I picked a snake skin blue and purple bag with black trim and a gold clasp.

Having fun with fashion is a must. Experiment and go crazy! See you next week for another "Shopping At.."

Yellowstone

This past weekend was a blast! I went down to Santa Barbara to visit my brother in-law in school. We went and shopped the wonderful downtown area of Santa Barbara. I was incredibly impressed at what the area had to offer. They had a killer store selection ranging from Michael Stars, Mikes Bikes, Betsey Johnson, and endless antique shops. My favorite store was called Yellowstone Vintage! I am always on the hunt for a vintage store and this one was great. Yellowstone vintage was a store with personality; the mannequins were quirky. They were vintage and had huge smiles. Awesome! The store is incredibly clean and open. The first thing I noticed was the stores large selection of vintage t-shirts. They had shirts from bands like The Who, The Beatles, The Clash, Guns N Roses, and so many more. The average price of the t-shirts was $25. They had a large size range and a few different styles. Second, was their sweaters and cardigans. I am a sweater freak. I wear a sweater of some type almost everyday. Yellowstone had this stunning black vintage sweater that I fell in love with; it was only $30! I was also surprised by their men's collection. They actually seemed to have more men's than women's clothing; a shopping 1st! Also the staff was amazing. They were cool and helpful, but not TOO helpful. I love it when the sales person feels like your friend. After about an hour we left the store with a vintage coat and sunglasses! Next time I plan a trip to Santa Barbara I will be saving up so I can go buck wild at Yellowstone Vintage before we hit the waves.

Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

I am very happy with the Stella McCartney for Gap Kids line! It hit stores just a few days ago on November 2nd and it has received rave reviews. This is a collection that the designer says was a long time coming. She is said to have had a long time desire to design a children's clothing line and when Gap offered, she could not turn down. The designer is a mother of three. She says the line is inspired by her kids and the spring 2009 Balmain collection. I also think that there is a little Beatles tribute hidden also (Sgt. Pepper). The designer stayed true to her leather and fur free designs. The 70 piece collection is made up of merino wool, organic cotton, cashmere, and wool.

The collection starts at $14 dollars(tights) and $128 for its most expensive item(and my favorite) a black and white military jacket. The collection has something for all children ranging from newborns to twelve years old. After looking at the promo photos I don't know how you could not buy the collection. What I love about the designs is how she made the line completely kid friendly. There are great layering pieces that are great for everyday wear. I personally love the looks with the sweatshirts under the military jacket or the girl's blazer. There are also great sneakers for just $48.

The collection is in the hands of everyone in Hollywood who has kids. The collection is in the hands of Liv Tyler, Naomi Watts, Jessica Capshaw and many more. Next, you just need to buy it! This is one of the many recession friendly collections that we can expect to see popping up all over the place.
