Leopard and Suede

Yesterday was an interesting day. It was warm but INCREDIBLY windy(why I pulled out the boots). The sun was shy and spent most of the day peeking out, hiding, or out in full! It was changing by the second. I decided to wear this leopard print dress because I felt like it needed another chance to prove it was not time to sell! I paired it with my sunglasses that are also on the line and they simply worked well today! No longer on the line to be sold.:)

Favorite Fall Trends

The Kinks : When I saw this trend I thought of Madonna circa Human Nature and pretty much every time she wears Dolce! For this trend just think bondage and everything tied up but showing just enough.

Louis Vuitton

Mod, Mod World : This trend is inspired by the color, prints and style of the 1960's. It's a little Mad Men and a little Pan Am too. I love this particular outfit because the gloves, shoes, and messy hair are very much a 2011 trend. It makes that mod style a bit sexy and current!
Marni

Spot On: Sopt on is all about polka dots and lots of them. I picked up on a lace/sheer theme with this trend also. The drape in the DVF look makes it come together. The Dolce dress is very loose fitting and free. The coat makes it so San Francisco to me.

DVF

Dolce and Gabbana

Dark and Stormy: This trend seems to be mixing fabrics and textures like crazy. It makes me think the more the better and chic blacks with detail and dark lips. Adams Family!

CHANEL

Chanel Pre Fall 2011 was in my head when I did my make-up and accessories for the day. I was thinking lots of gold, black and a pop of color. Also, I have been looking for an excuse to wear my shoulder duster earrings. This collection was heaven to me. The rich color and gold just made my think of Egypt and Byzantium...Goddess!

My eyes are gold and silver eyeshadow. I did a dark lip (va va violet by Revlon).

Great Scott

I was in a plaid mood today. After researching fall trends I was particularly taken by the Great Scott trend (from Elle Magazine). I have always been drawn to plaid so it was an easy choice.  The Great Scott trend is all about plaid and wearing it well in a million different ways. It was seen heavily on the runway in shows for Rage & Bone, Sonia Rykiel, Carven, and my always plaid favorite Vivienne Westwood. Plaid up your wardrobe!

Loafer Love

One of my favorite things right now are loafers. Recently in fashion they have been making them like crazy in every color, design, etc. I have been having some fun with them. Loafers are fun, cute and pretty comfortable. I have decided to dedicate a post to my current loves and hopefully my future loafers! :)

My 1st pair. They are Vintage Kenneth Cole.
(exactly like mine from etsy.com)

I love these! They are my newest loafers. They give an extra sparkle and add a little pep in my step. But, what I really want is......

I have been dreaming of these since I saw them on thesfstyle.com. They are Jeffrey Campbell's Elegant Stud Loafers! I pretty much need these!

Found in Transition

Yesterday was the 1st official day of fall. Today, It looked like fall in the city. Naturally this time of year I start trying to figure out what in my wardrobe works as a transitional piece for fall. This means adding tights, sweaters, boots, etc. So much of what I wear I wear all year.

For this look I took a dress that is clearly spring/summer and matched it up with some darker pieces. I added the necklace to polish off the outfit. I was still in necklace envy from last night (and from pretty much every time I see  her), my friend Annie pulls of necklaces so well.

1960's Lovin

I was inspired by 1960's/1970's pin up drawings and style photos today.  I love the stripes, blue and red so getting dressed was really easy today! It was a very fun fashion day! I felt like a lady!:}

I am in love with this headband

Red Lip Love

Today was a day full of NEW things.  I have been dying to try using lipstick for the first time (yes, you read correctly). Red is an obvious choice to start with. It is perfect for my wardrobe and general style. I tried it out last night so I wouldn't get a major shock this morning if I hated it.......I LOVE it! It is amazing and I couldn't stop looking at my lips all day. Just kissable! I also wore a really great ruffle blouse today. I have been trying to work my own version of casual into my wardrobe. It is just so hard (more like time consuming) to pick the perfect top for a pair of jeans. I am just so picky!... All in all today I spent a lot of mirror time looking at my lips and my top!!! HAHA My old boss Jorie used to catch me in the mirror all the time!...goodtimes

and look at these babys! I will take these shoes to my grave!

Country Dreams

I'm Back! It has been too long of a while. My style is changing a little, but I am all about evolution and change(the shoes). We spent our Sunday mostly in doors, but it was too nice to stay in all day so we went to one of our favorite places, Thornton State Beach. We took pictures for the Sunday Funday post here also. It was great and I felt a little like a country girl.
