HALLOWEEN 2011

Halloween 2011 was absolutely FANTASTIC! I know that it's today, but I celebrated my Halloween Saturday night. I went from the idea of being Jessica Rabbit and Diana Ross and ended up as Cleopatra. LOVED IT! I went with red hair instead black. I did black hair last year so I needed a change up. I used all of my own jewelry and only had to buy a wig and the dress.

Tony (my husband) went as Jesus! Everyone tells him that he looks like him with his long curly hair and all. He loved his costume and took his Jesus role seriously..... (see the last photo). The night was amazing! We drove up to Santa Cruz and spent Halloween with my lovely friend Nico (she runs www.satinandsalt.com ). We danced, we laughed, met a ton of new people and caught up with some old friends.

Me as Cleopatra

Tony as Jesus

Tony as Jesus again! (I could barely stop laughing while taking pictures)

Me as Cleopatra...again! I felt like I had a TON of jewelry on.

Cleopatra and Satan.....Satan runs Satin and Salt!

Getting pretty devilish!

Jesus and Satan square off!

Catching up with another good friend....

Jesus and his older wife Cleopatra.

And in the end he blessed some people!

Blue Wednesday

I spent most of this week talking about hats. I talked about how much I love them but seriously have a hard time wearing them. I have a really small head, so it is incredibly hard to find one that fits! Beanies are my alternative!

Repeat Offender

I really can't stop wearing this bracelet! I'm surprised that I'm not sleeping in it! I would probably wake up injured if I did. Exploring new things (like jeans and pants in general) has been really fun. Getting dressed has been trickier.... This is the third post with me wearing jeans. I think my love affair with jeans may be over! We will see.

Tribal Studds

Tribal is what I think of when I see this bracelet, that is why I picked it! The heat of the city almost kept me in, but I came out and enjoyed it for a little bit. These photos were taken at my new favorite spot for photos. I love the murals here. I kept it casual for today! It was nice. I'm starting to like jeans!

Sailors and Cleopatra

I woke up this morning wanting to wear my sailor pants. Once I got dressed and it was make up time I went crazy! I have been obsessed with Elizabeth Taylor's make up from Cleopatra and recreated my own look. I wore a brighter lipstick than normal for that extra pop. Today was really fun and I think I'm on a black and white shoe kick!:)

October Sunset

It has been nice soaking up the San Francisco sun. Times like this makes me actually think I could live here forever. I spent most of the day trying to get out of the store to be in the beauty of it all. I had a nice lunch in the park and on the way home I did what every San Franciscan does when they see the sun, head to the beach! I let go and really had fun! The beach was a nice detour before home.

(sorry, the shots for the necklace, i know it's weird)

On Cloud Nine

I am on cloud nine for so many reasons right now! I just had lunch with my GREAT friend Jen. She is producing a fashion show and I am co-styling it! This is so fantastic because I am building my portfolio and working with someone who I feel is going to do so much in the industry. It is also gonna nice because I am starting to go crazy not working on something in fashion.

Also I have been having a little battle with blogging. It is something that I love so much and I am finally feeling like I am getting some place. When I first started blogging I really had no direction. It wasn't until this year in my fashion writing class that I was inspired to do personal style. I thought that my style was good enough to at least try. Since I made that decision it has been funner than ever and we are enjoying taking pics.

This is my 1st official post for Blogging for Breast Cancer Awareness. I found out about it through my friend Niki (who runs satinandsalt.com). She found out about it from A Working Moms Closet. I contacted Melissa who runs the site and joined in. Fashionista's care too. Lastly, this was the best photo shoot ever! That's why I have a million pictures.

Unwinding at Celia's

After a really crazy week we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Celia's. The location we visited was in Daly City, Ca. We come to this restaurant to celebrate birthdays, promotions, visitors, when we want good mexican food, and to unwind. Really, we just love eating here!

Our menu! The excitement starts!

We ordered our favorite! Bean and Cheese dip! We were practically full by the time we got our food.

SMILES!

Chowing down on a lovely dinner! I ordered the two burritos plate with rice on the side. Tony ordered the Enchilada burrito. We couldn't finish it all and took the rest home!

After a great dinner, I wanted to show you my new bracelet!

Indian Summer

Oh how I love this Indian Summer! I woke up inspired by the sunlight. I wanted to be bright and really look like I feel, like summer. I never imagined that you could feel like the weather, but it was undeniable today.

I wore my beloved dress that I call the Swedish dress because of the label inside. I paired it with my actually comfy wedges and fun earrings!

Jewels and Prints

It was a day of color and fun! I had previously lost one of these earrings and I was devastated! I found it while cleaning and decided that no matter what I was going to wear them the next day.

I had fun getting dressed in color today! The colors in this skirt are always inspiring for a new look. They seem to go well with most things and require little effort that goes a long way.

The Streets at Night

San Francisco is so beautiful at night. We took some time before going home to take some pictures. It was great and reminded me why we live here. The cars, coffee, people, and energy were alive. You can stay out all night and always find a place that is open.

I wore my crazy print dress. It is so 1970's to me. I paired it with my loved and not so often worn military jacket. The weather has been crazy so I was sure it was time to wear the boots. It ended up being 70 degrees! In the end I won because it was cold again by 6pm.
