Both are forms of Resins, a material that was used in making things before plastic. As a vintage lover I flipped when I saw this page. Growing up in the time of plastic, I have always dreamt of a world with Resins! I think I'm on my way to the Resin world!
When searching online it became clear to me that this is a new trend in fashion. I am LOVING it! I have always loved the idea of re-creating from vintage inspirations, this is the first time I have seen it in jewelry! It is nice to see things being made from more durable materials. I've bought several resin jewelry pieces lately - I also enjoy the vintage appeal of bakelite, but I don't own any vintage bakelite pieces. I love that yellow Kate Spade necklace up top!
